The Madres: From Director Dave McIntosh
Our play THE MADRES demonstrates how cruel and heartless people can be towards fellow human beings. The inhuman treatment and death of “desaparecidos” during the “Dirty War” in Argentina merely exemplifies this.
Innate in most of us is the belief in social justice and human rights. Yet the desire for political and religious power appears to transcend these beliefs.
Humbly our play endeavors to demonstrate the personal and human effects of an atrocity and simply show a small part of man’s often disgraceful conduct towards our fellow beings. Yet spirit and hope must in the end triumph, or all is lost forever.
Our dedicated cast carries the banner. Marsha, Liz, Jeff, Nicolas and Angelica are crying out in support and sympathy for humanity and this play - THE MADRES.
